




On August 9, an information and educational event "Good to Know" was held for internally displaced youth in Vinnytsia, which was held as part of the Youth Week in Ukraine.
The participants of the event were young IDPs from the Donetsk region and other regions, who received useful information about the resources and support available to them in various areas of life to meet basic needs.
The event was joined by the head of the Department of Family, Youth and Mass Events of the NPO, Liliya Zolkina, who congratulated the youth on the international holiday.
The event opened issues of employment, housing, law and psychology.
Nataliya Peftieva, a representative of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center, introduced the youth to grant programs for starting a business, career guidance tools, retraining, as well as current labor market trends.
Housing programs for youth and IDPs were presented by Olena Pylypenko, head of the Vinnytsia regional branch of the State Youth Housing Service, who spoke about preferential lending, compensation and affordable social housing.
Vitaliy Belov covered the mental health of youth. He presented the possibilities of receiving free psychological help, the work of hotlines, psychosocial services, mobile applications and initiatives aimed at supporting IDPs, which any young person in Ukraine can use.
And Natalia Shevchenko, representative of the Right to Protection Charity Foundation, spoke about available legal advice on housing, employment, social guarantees, as well as about organizations that protect the rights of internally displaced persons.
During the event, participants and their parents were able to receive the most up-to-date information from primary sources and combine official communication with live discussion.
The event is organized by the Donetsk Regional Youth Center together with the YaMariupol support center and the Bakhmutsky District United Vinnytsia hub.
