In the zone of active hostilities in Donetsk region, more than 24.5 thousand residents live.

In the territory of Donetsk region, controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, 270.6 thousand civilians remain, including 19,900 children.

Since the announcement of evacuation in 2022, 1 million 231 thousand residents have left Donetsk region.

The ongoing process of evacuating the civilian population was discussed during a traditional briefing at the regional state administration with the participation of representatives from the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense Work, the Children's Affairs Service, and the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Regional State Administration.

In the territories of communities recognized as zones of active hostilities, as of June 24, 24.5 thousand residents remain, including 120 children.

This was reported by Serhiy Honcharov, head of the Civil Protection Measures Planning Department, Emergency Response, and Civil Protection Training of the Civil Protection Organization Management of the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense Work.

In the city of Kostiantynivka, where the security situation worsens daily, more than 8.7 thousand people remain. Yesterday, 6 people were evacuated from the city: one man, three women, and two children.

In the territory of five settlements, where families with children are being forcibly evacuated, 89 minors remain. This was reported by Yuliia Ryzhakova, head of the Children's Affairs Service. In the village of Novoselivka of the Lyman community, 1 child remains, in the village of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka of the Druzhkivka community – 55 children, in the Dobropillia community – 33 children, of which in Bilytske – 24, in the village of Vodianske – 5, in Svitlyi – 4 children.

In the past week, 55 children were evacuated from the settlements where families with children are being forcibly evacuated. From Novoselivka of the Lyman community, 1 child was evacuated, from Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka of the Druzhkivka community – 34 children. From the Dobropillia community, 17 children were evacuated, of which 10 children were taken from Bilytske, 5 children from Vodianske, and 2 children from Svitlyi.

Free accommodation for people in temporary settlement places in safer regions of Ukraine continues. This was reminded by Dmytro Pozharskyi, head of the Department of Social Services of the Department of Social Protection of the Population.

Since the beginning of 2025, 915 evacuated residents of Donetsk have been provided with free accommodation. These are all people who needed free accommodation and applied with such a request. Among them were 193 people with limited mobility and 173 children.

In the past week, 25 people were provided with free accommodation – all who wished to go to shelters in Poltava, Zakarpattia, and Chernivtsi regions.

At the transit point in Pavlohrad, several people are waiting for relocation and free accommodation; they will soon be taken and settled in Poltava and Volyn regions.
