Physical education teacher at the Konstantinovsky secondary school No. 6, and Tetyana Shcherbak, a teacher at the Dobropillia Educational Complex "Gymnasium – General Education School I–III Levels No. 1," were among the finalists of the All-Ukrainian competition for physical education teachers, the Physical Education Teacher Award 2025.
The competition aims to recognize teachers who implement modern approaches to physical education and promote a healthy lifestyle among students.
Participants were evaluated on their professional competence and methodological skills, effectiveness and social activism, participation in national initiatives, adherence to the principles of gender equality and inclusion, use of innovative and online approaches, and promotion of sports in the media.
Throughout 2025, the finalists from Donetsk region actively implemented the ideas of the New Ukrainian School: they used new variable modules and sports, increased students' physical activity, formed a culture of healthy lifestyles, involved children in physical education and health activities, and supported the education of conscious and responsible youth.
Their results prove that even in difficult conditions, educators in Donetsk Oblast continue to develop modern education, introduce innovations, and motivate students to lead active and healthy lives.
