In Chernivtsi, the Department of Chemistry and Food Product Examination at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University hosted a practical training session entitled "Improving the Experimental Skills of Chemistry Teachers" — an event that brought together educators from all over Ukraine who are passionate about science, experiments, and modern education.
The Donetsk region was represented at the training by Lyudmila Dzhos, a chemistry teacher at the Educational Complex "General Education School I-III Levels No. 7 - Preschool Educational Institution" of the Dobropil City Council. Her participation was an example of professional perseverance, confirming that even in the difficult conditions of war, teachers in Donetsk Oblast continue to learn, improve their skills, and share their experience.
The training program combined theory and practice: participants performed experimental tasks and mastered modern methods of chemical analysis, synthesis, and identification of compounds. This knowledge will help teachers prepare students for academic competitions, encourage them to engage in research, and open up the exciting world of science to children.
The project is being implemented by the public organization "Bukovina Innovative Foundation" in cooperation with the Department of Chemistry and Food Product Expertise of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, with the support of the KSE Foundation and funding from the STEM Talent Fund as part of the Da Vinci Ukraine grant program, an initiative aimed at developing STEM education in Ukraine.
The enthusiasm and professionalism of Donetsk region's teachers are a source of pride for the region and inspiration for the entire educational community in Ukraine.
