The 2026 state budget allocates UAH 60 million to support agricultural insurance for the first time, for which the government adopted relevant amendments to the procedure for providing state support on December 31.
The document defines the rules for insuring agricultural products, particularly in frontline territories, and introduces mandatory registration in the State Agricultural Register and checks for sanctions restrictions.
This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.
The resolution provides for compensation for part of the insurance premiums paid:
🔹up to 60% of the cost of insurance premiums for agricultural producers working in frontline communities;
🔹up to 45% for other agricultural producers.
To insure agricultural products, agricultural producers must contact insurance companies that have been granted the right to provide such insurance in agreement with the National Bank of Ukraine. Currently, these are:
🔹JSC Insurance Company INGO;
🔹PJSC Insurance Company Universal.
Agricultural insurance contracts will be concluded in accordance with the list of standardized insurance products:
🔹areas of winter grain crops for the wintering period;
🔹winter grain crops for the entire growing season;
🔹future grain crops for the spring-summer growing season.
