From July 2 to 6, 2025, the XII Youth World Championship in Sports Radio Direction Finding took place in Mariánské Lázně (Czech Republic), which this year gathered representatives from 11 countries around the world.
Oryna Ivanko, an athlete from the Lyman territorial community and a student of the "Fox" sports club for orphans, represented the national team of Ukraine.
All three competition days took place in extremely challenging terrain, requiring maximum endurance, technical preparation, and concentration from the athletes.
In the individual standings, Oryna finished in 11th place three times, demonstrating stability and confidence.
However, the real triumph was the two silver medals that Oryna won as part of the national team of Ukraine in the team standings in the classic distances! The Ukrainian girls only lost to the hosts of the competition — the Czech team.
We express our sincere gratitude to the athlete for her worthy representation of the Donetsk region and Ukraine on the international stage. Her result is an example of strength of spirit, professional preparation, and sports perseverance.
