The Chasovoyarsk and Uman communities continue to work closely together as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” supported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.

The Veterans’ Home in Uman currently houses 23 residents from the Chasovoyarsk community. These are people who lost their homes due to the war, and many of them were left without support from their families. The war took away their normal lives, but it did not take away their hope.

Unfortunately, elderly people are often left to face problems related to the loss of their homes and difficult living conditions on their own. That is why Lilia Volodymyrivna and Zinaida Volodymyrivna, residents of the Chasovoyarsk community, turned to the city military administration for help. Serhiy Chaus, head of the Chasovoyarsk City Military Administration, arranged for the women to be transported to the Veterans’ Home in Uman, where they were provided with shelter and the necessary care.

During his working visit, Serhiy Chaus also visited all his fellow townspeople currently residing at the Veterans’ Home, spoke with them, and delivered treats from the “Service Solutions” Charitable Foundation.

Together, side by side, we support those who need it most and prove once again: no one’s misfortune is someone else’s.
