Strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure, building up material reserves at all levels, and ensuring the operation of Points of Invincibility were the key topics discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the regional commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies.
The Head of Donetsk region instructed to strengthen control over the condition of roads. They must be cleared and treated in a timely manner, as these are key evacuation and logistics routes. He also emphasized the need for constant coordination with the Service for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure to ensure that roads remain passable under any conditions.
“Russia continues to shell Donetsk region, and the intensity of attacks is increasing. The enemy’s goal is obvious — to leave the region without electricity, heat, water, and communications. Therefore, we must ensure in advance that critical infrastructure facilities have everything necessary for stable operation.
I instructed community leaders to ensure reliable communications even during possible blackouts.
Points of Invincibility must operate around the clock so that people can always warm up, recharge their phones, and receive hot drinks.
We are working proactively. Safety and support for people are our top priority,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
