The third wave of the National Project “Side by Side: United Communities” is underway. Vadym Filashkin joined an online meeting between Donetsk frontline communities and their partner communities. Among the participants were the project’s head, Maryana Tomyn, and representatives of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development.
Over the three stages of implementation, partner communities have provided almost UAH 13 million in subventions to restore housing, schools, and shelters, and have regularly delivered humanitarian aid. More than 300 children from Donetsk region have undergone health recovery programs, while cultural exchanges, workshops, and other online meetings are taking place on a regular basis.
“Our communities have already signed 47 memorandums of cooperation. Today, new ones were added: between Pokrovsk and Uman, Kramatorsk and Berdychiv, Hrodivka and Vyshnivets communities. This partnership is helping people today and will become the foundation for the restoration of Donetsk region tomorrow.
‘Side by Side’ proves the effectiveness of interregional cooperation and serves as a tool of solidarity and mutual support in wartime.
I am sincerely grateful to everyone working on this project. Together we are stronger!” — emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
