During the meeting, representatives of Ukraine Aid International handed over the original twinning agreement, along with a symbolic gift from Donetsk region — a cartouche featuring the small coat of arms of the Donetsk region.
The head of Donetsk region outlined the humanitarian and security situation in the region and informed the participants about current challenges. The parties also discussed further steps for cooperation and future plans.
Importantly, it was agreed with Jon Zagrodzky to begin searching for a city in Donetsk region that will become a sister city to Darien. Work in this direction is already underway.
“I sincerely thank you for supporting Donetsk region and Ukraine. I am confident that together we will not only endure, but also rebuild our country, making it modern, strong, and successful,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
