Together with the heads of district and local administrations of Donetsk region, Vadym Filashkin participated in the Congress hearings dedicated to legislative regulation of state supervision over acts of local self-government bodies.
The meeting took place on the platform of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, chaired by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Viktor Mykyta and Head of the Congress Office Liliya Pashynna.
The participants discussed Draft Law No. 14048 “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Ensuring Legality and Transparency in the Activities of Local Self-Government Bodies.” Its goal is to enhance the openness of community governance and to establish effective mechanisms of state oversight over the legality of local decisions.
This initiative is an integral part of the decentralization reform and an important step toward European integration, as it brings Ukrainian legislation closer to European standards.
Representatives of Donetsk region’s communities and districts shared their proposals — the Congress continues to serve as a working platform for developing real, effective changes in the country.
