Before Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Donbas Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities operated in Kramatorsk. Today, it has become a place of support for people with disabilities, war veterans, and internally displaced persons from Donetsk region.
The center provides services in physical, social, psychological, and medical rehabilitation. Recently, a modern barrier-free aquatic facility was opened — the first inclusive swimming pool in Prykarpattia. This is a joint project with the center, implemented with the support of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.
“I spoke with the management, the team of the center, the head of the Donetsk branch of the Union of Persons with Disabilities of Ukraine, Nadiia Polamarchuk, and with people undergoing rehabilitation.
I am glad to see how the idea of an inclusive swimming pool has become a reality right here. This is an example of unity between regions and support for Donetsk region.
