On the eve of the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer, the Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, presented “Badge of Honor” awards to volunteers of the Volunteer Formations of Territorial Communities from the Pokrovsk Hromada and Shakhove Hromada communities.
Ukrainian volunteers were among the first to defend the state in both 2014 and 2022. They supported the military and civilians, stood up to the aggressor with weapons in their hands, and today remain an important component of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. It is a source of pride that hundreds of residents of Donetsk region chose this path and continue to defend our country.
Today, everyone has united for the defense of Ukraine. Civilians help build fortifications, volunteers support cities in resisting enemy attacks, and volunteer fighters have become a symbol of courage and selflessness. For our part, we will continue to do everything possible to support the Defense Forces of Ukraine, including volunteer formations.
