Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, presented the Orders “For Merit” and “For Courage” (3rd class), the Order of Princess Olga (3rd class), and the Medal “For Labor and Valor” to employees of Donetsk region’s utility companies on the eve of their professional holiday — Housing and Utilities Workers’ Day.
“These are not just awards—they are a sign of respect and gratitude from Donetsk Oblast and the state to the people who overcome extraordinary challenges every day to ensure that our residents’ homes have light and heat,” the regional head noted in his address. “Despite all the hardships of war, these men and women perform their work conscientiously and selflessly, eliminating the consequences of Russian strikes and accidents at energy infrastructure facilities.”
Today, more than ever before, we know and see just how difficult their work is.
