The discussion was joined by UNHCR Representative Bernadette Castel-Hollingsworth, Ambassador of Switzerland to Ukraine and Moldova Felix Baumann, and Director of the Cooperation Programme at the Embassy of Switzerland Jean-Luc Bernasconi.
The participants discussed the security and humanitarian situation in Donetsk region, evacuation efforts, and the region’s priority needs. Particular attention was paid to the conditions for people who were forced to relocate to other regions of Ukraine and abroad, as well as to the operation of transit hubs for internally displaced persons—their capacities and challenges.
“The situation in the region remains extremely difficult. We face a wide range of challenges—from ensuring the stable operation of energy and коммунal services to providing proper support for internally displaced persons.
It is very important that such meetings bring results. The Embassy of Switzerland is already preparing the delivery of high-capacity generators for the Kramatorsk community.
I am grateful to our partners for their support and solidarity. Together we are stronger,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
