The Global Teacher Prize Ukraine is an annual national award that recognizes teachers who change the world. They make a significant contribution to education and shape a new generation of Ukrainians through their daily work and example.
The prize is organized by the Osvitoria NGO with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and leading partners in education, IT, media and civil society.
This year, 54 educators made it to the semifinals instead of the traditional 50 because they received the same number of points in the rating selection. Each of them is a true change agent, a leader and a mentor who transforms society not with words but with deeds.
Among the semifinalists is Oksana Obidchenko, a teacher of Ukrainian language, literature and foreign literature at Volnovakha Secondary School No. 7 in Volnovakha City Community. Her inclusion in the TOP-54 is a recognition of her professionalism, dedication and daily educational mission despite all the challenges.
On September 1, ten finalists will be announced, and on October 4, 2025, the whole country will learn the name of the winner, who will receive UAH 1 million to implement their own educational project, during a live national telethon.
