The “Peak of the Unconquered: Chasiv Yar—Yasinya” project continues. Another day spent by veterans from the Chasiv Yar community in the Yasinya community proved to be a true test of endurance, fortitude, and belief in their own abilities.

On this day, the veterans who decided to accept the challenge set out to conquer Ukraine’s highest peak—Hoverla, which stands at 2,061 meters.

Ahead of them lay kilometers of challenging mountain terrain, steep ascents, exhaustion, and the unpredictable mountain air. The climb took about four hours. Every step required strength and perseverance. But everyone was moving toward their goal—to prove, first and foremost to themselves: “I can do it!”

And there it was—the summit.

Fatigue was left far below, and at an altitude of 2,061 meters, there were only incredible emotions, pride, and a sense of victory.

At the summit, the flags of the sister communities of Chasovoyarsk and Yasinya, the flag of Donetsk Oblast, and the National Flag of Ukraine fluttered in the wind.

It wasn’t just a climb up a mountain. It was an encounter with one’s own potential. It was a victory over fatigue and doubt.

It was yet another confirmation that the indomitable are capable of conquering even the highest peaks.

For the veterans of the Chasovoyarsk community, Hoverla became more than just a geographical point on the map. It has become a symbol of strength, resilience, renewal, and a new path.

Chasiv Yar and Yasinya are different communities, but today they stand together. Together in support, communication, sports, veteran brotherhood, and shared victories as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.”

The Chasiv Yar City Military Administration sincerely thanks the Yasinya community for its hospitality, for organizing transportation, and for providing professional support to the veterans during their ascent of Hoverla.

This day will forever remain in the memories of those who reached the summit. Because sometimes, to see just how strong you are, you simply need to take one more step—upward.

Hoverla has been conquered. The summit of the unconquered—conquered together!
