Veterans from the Chasiv Yar community, together with veterans and representatives from the Yasinya community, took part in the event “The Summit of the Unconquered: Chasiv Yar—Yasinya.” The gathering took place as part of the communities’ collaboration on the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.”

Veterans from both communities climbed Mount Kosterivka together. Along the route, the veterans supported one another, particularly helping participants who had difficulty moving due to injuries they had sustained. During the descent, a representative of the Yasinya community assisted veterans who were unable to complete part of the route on their own.

After the hike, the participants continued socializing while playing bocce. During the game, the veterans shared their experiences of military service, talked about the fronts where they defended Ukraine, and reminisced about their comrades.

Lesya Pavlichok, a psychologist specializing in veteran policy for the Yasinya community, also joined the event. She conducted a training session for the veterans focused on managing emotions and providing psychological support.

The event was part of a collaboration between the Chasovoyarsk and Yasinya communities aimed, in particular, at supporting veterans and fostering cooperation between the communities.

As part of this partnership, community representatives organize joint events designed to support residents and strengthen ties between the communities.
