From October 18 to 26, young nature lovers from Donetsk Oblast joined the program "Ecological Trails of Native Ukraine" organized by the Center for Environmental Education and Information LLC with the support of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration. As part of the trip, 45 children from Donetsk Oblast discovered the magical corners of Cherkasy Oblast - Subotiv, Chyhyryn, Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi - as well as ecological trails, protected areas and healing springs.
Nature, history and Ukrainian traditions were combined into one: children participated in Cossack games and workshops, explored nature, created artwork and mini-films, learned about species of plants and birds listed in the Red Book. During the psychological sessions, they learned to find "Cossack resilience" in themselves - to be strong, kind and confident despite the difficult times.
Everyone returned home with a lot of impressions, new friends and a desire to travel again. Such events are especially important today - in times of war, they give children a sense of security, joy, unity and faith in the future.
