The children of the Druzhkivka Orphanage, who are being evacuated to the Kingdom of Spain, celebrated the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine and the 34th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence. Despite the distance from their home, the children came together to honor the main holiday of our country and feel the spirit of unity of the Ukrainian people.
The celebration began with the raising of blue and yellow flags and a joint performance of the Ukrainian anthem. The participants prepared an eventful program: poems about Ukraine, songs, dance performances and interesting quizzes. The performances dedicated to the native land, freedom and peace were particularly touching.
Children dressed in embroidered shirts performed traditional Ukrainian dances and danced to native melodies. Symbolic candles of remembrance and hope were lit during the festive program, which once again reminded us of the importance of independence and the indomitable nature of the Ukrainian people.
This day was a true testament to the fact that Ukrainians, wherever they are, preserve their identity, culture and love for their homeland. The atmosphere of the holiday was filled with warmth, patriotism and faith in victory.
The celebration of Ukraine's Independence Day in distant Spain proved that: Ukraine is in the hearts of each of us, and its strength lies in the unity of the people.
We express our sincere pride in our children, their resilience, patriotism and unbreakable spirit. We are looking forward to the children's soonest return home to Ukrainian soil.
We are immensely grateful to the Kingdom of Spain, the country that has given shelter to our children, its good citizens and all volunteer organizations for their invaluable help and support. Each such step brings our common Victory closer!
Everything will be Ukraine!
