Cherkasy Region, with its floral motifs and Cossack heritage, is known for its delicate botanical designs, while Donetsk Region, with its steppes and rugged beauty, features embroidery that bursts with the vibrant colors of strength and freedom—together, they have come together to form a single, powerful tapestry.
As part of the nationwide project “Side by Side: United Communities,” Pokrovsk Lyceum No. and Uman Gymnasium No. 11 in Cherkasy Oblast met online for the patriotic game marathon “Pixel of the Nation: When the Pattern Speaks.”
The video conference location for the Pokrovsk students was organized in Dnipro at the shelter of Educational Complex No. 1. Participants competed in the interactive quiz “Vyshyvanka. PRO" on the Kahoot platform, identified famous Ukrainian and international ambassadors of the vyshyvanka among modern leaders and idols, successfully solved a themed crossword puzzle and debunked myths in the game "Truth or Fake," and created a joint embroidered digital "Panno of Associations."
At the end of the celebration, to the sounds of a heartfelt Ukrainian song about the vyshyvanka that united everyone into one big choir, the organizers thanked the teams for their participation and the incredible emotions.
This warm gathering, held as part of the “Side by Side: United Communities” project, served as yet another testament to the fact that, despite any distance, Ukrainians remain united in their aspirations, values, and love for their homeland.
