How is the evacuation of civilians in Donetsk region proceeding?

Almost 193,700 civilians remain in the territory of Donetsk region controlled by Ukrainian authorities. More than 34,000 people currently live in the zone of active hostilities, which includes 21 communities.

The progress of the evacuation in the Donetsk region was discussed at a regular briefing at the regional state administration with the participation of representatives of the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense, the Service for Children's Affairs, and the Department of Social Protection of the Population.

According to the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense, more than 1.3 million residents have been evacuated from the Donetsk region since the start of the full-scale invasion, including 202,000 minors and more than 47,300 people with disabilities.

There are currently 12,416 children living in the Donetsk region. Compulsory evacuation of families with children is continuing in 11 settlements in five communities. According to the Children's Services Department, there are 794 children there. There are 306 children in the city of Druzhkivka, 396 children in the Mykolaiv community, 55 children in the village of Serhiivka in the Andriivka community, 33 children in the Sviatohirsk community, and 4 children in the village of Komyshuvakha in the Kramatorsk community.

Over the past week, 97 children have been taken from communities where families with children are being forcibly evacuated. Thirty-nine children were evacuated from the city of Druzhkivka, 49 children from the Mykolaiv community, and 9 children from Serhiivka.

The free resettlement of evacuated Donetsk residents in other regions of the country continues. According to the Department of Social Protection, in 2025, 3,396 people were resettled free of charge in 19 regions – all those who needed such resettlement. Among those who were resettled free of charge were 530 children and 931 people with reduced mobility.
