Law of Ukraine No. 4681-IX dated 05.11.2025 (https://t1p.de/lyqly) provides for an increase in benefits for families with children to help combine motherhood (fatherhood) with professional activity.
The state will support families at every stage — from pregnancy to a child’s first year of school.
The new law provides for:
❇️ ASSISTANCE DURING PREGNANCY, CHILDBIRTH, AND THE POSTPARTUM PERIOD
🔰 All women (including minors) who are not insured under the mandatory state social insurance system are entitled to maternity benefits.
✴️ The benefit is paid in the amount of UAH 7,000 per month.

❇️ CHILD BIRTH GRANT
🔰 One of the child’s parents or a guardian (in the case of guardianship), with whom the child permanently resides and who submits an application, is entitled to the childbirth benefit.
✴️ A one-time payment of UAH 50,000 is provided for the birth of the first and each subsequent child.

🔰 “Baby Box” is a one-time in-kind assistance and a non-refundable targeted social benefit provided either in kind or as cash compensation, at the choice of one of the parents.
✴️ The amount of compensation equals three subsistence minimums for children under six years of age established by law on the child’s date of birth.
In 2026 — UAH 7,689 (UAH 2,563 × 3).

❇️ SUPPORT DURING CHILDCARE
🔰 The right to childcare assistance until the child reaches one year of age is granted to the mother or another legal representative (except foster parents, family-type children’s home parents, and representatives of institutions performing guardian functions) who actually care for the child.
The benefit is assigned from the day following the end of maternity leave or the payment of maternity benefits until the child reaches one year of age.
🖇 The benefit amount is set by the Law on the State Budget of Ukraine for the relevant year; for caring for a child with a disability, a coefficient of 1.5 applies.
🔸 In 2026, childcare assistance until the child reaches one year of age amounts to UAH 7,000, and UAH 10,500 for a child with a disability.
🔰 The right to “eNursery” (єЯсла) childcare assistance is granted to the mother or another legal representative (except foster parents, family-type parents, and institutional guardians) who actually cared for the child and returned to full-time work.
The benefit is assigned from the month following the child’s first birthday until the child reaches three years of age.
🖇 The benefit amount is set by the Law on the State Budget of Ukraine for the relevant year; for children with disabilities, a coefficient of 1.5 applies.
✴️ From 2027, the “eNursery” benefit will amount to UAH 8,000, and UAH 12,000 for a child with a disability.
🔰 The monthly cash benefit “eKindergarten” (єСадок) is provided to ensure care for children aged three to six years, and for children with special educational needs — up to seven (eight) years, if the mother or another legal representative who previously cared for the child has returned to full-time work.
✴️ In 2028, the monthly “eKindergarten” benefit will amount to UAH 8,000.
❇️ ONE-TIME CASH ASSISTANCE FOR FIRST-GRADE STUDENTS — “SCHOOL STARTER PACK”
🔰 One of the parents or another legal representative of the child is entitled to receive the one-time cash assistance for first-grade students — “School Starter Pack.”
The assistance is provided for each child entering first grade.
🖇 The amount is determined by the Law on the State Budget of Ukraine for the relevant year.
✴️ In 2026, the one-time assistance will amount to UAH 5,000.
