DTEK Donetsk Power Grids Restores Electricity to Nearly 91,000 Homes in a Week

Between August 18 and 24, DTEK Donetsk Power Grids’ emergency repair crews, with military approval, managed to repair multiple network damages and restore electricity to residents of 61 settlements. Almost 91,000 households once again have access to power. The energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the frontline region as soon as the military and sappers allow.

Heavy fighting across the region continues to cause constant blackouts in Donetsk towns and villages. Despite the danger, over the past week DTEK specialists managed to fully or partially restore power to 61 settlements, bringing electricity back to 90,953 households.

Over the weekend alone, energy workers restored electricity to 26,000 homes in 15 settlements.

Donetsk region remains the site of the most intense hostilities. Damage to energy infrastructure from relentless shelling continues. Power engineers will certainly restore electricity to all residents of the region as soon as they receive clearance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to carry out repairs.
