Reconnaissance soldier Fedir Dvornik, call sign “Dym-Aid”, was killed on August 10, 2023, in the village of Mykolaivka, Chernihiv region, after sustaining multiple injuries from explosions. He was 43.

He was born in Donetsk. He graduated from Drohobych Training Center No. 40 (specializing as a 2nd-class repair locksmith and paint technologist). He lived with his family in the village of Skvaryava, Lviv region, working with cars—repair and painting.

At the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine: he served in military unit A4220 as a sniper and squad commander; in spring 2023, he became a reconnaissance operator in the reconnaissance platoon of military unit A4126, HUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“A brave man and father,” said his wife, Halyna.

“A walking encyclopedia, loved martial arts and music, was a DJ; carved on gemstones, made knives; reliable, always cheerful,” said his brother-in-arms Shaman.

He was posthumously awarded the Order For Courage III class. He was laid to rest in Skvaryava.

He is survived by his wife, son Maksym, and daughter Oleksandra.
