29-year-old Senior Private Volodymyr Taradai was killed on January 23, 2024, near the village of Tabaiivka in the Kharkiv region. While performing a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries when an enemy FPV drone struck the defenders' vehicle.
Volodymyr was born in the city of Chasiv Yar. He graduated from the Sloviansk State Agrarian Technical College. For some time, he worked at LLC "Firm Dnipro-Kontrakt." He was passionate about cars.
In January 2019, he decided to change his career path and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He carried out combat missions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) zone. During the full-scale war, he continued to defend his country against the invaders. He served as the senior driver of the motor vehicle and technical group of the NVZ in military unit A1872.
"My husband was a bright person, always smiling and compassionate. This is a huge loss for me because I lost my soul..." said Maryna Taradai.
Posthumously, Volodymyr was awarded the Order "For Courage," 3rd Class.
The serviceman was buried on the Alley of Heroes at the cemetery in the city of Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region.
The defender is survived by his wife, parents, and brother.
