Senior Police Sergeant Valentyn Havrysh, aged 29, was killed on August 15, 2025, while performing his official duties in the city of Sviatohirsk.
That day, the enemy carried out an airstrike on the settlement. Valentyn was killed together with his colleague, senior district police officer Roman Penkov.
Valentyn was born on August 1, 1996, in the village of Novoselivka, Lyman district. He joined the National Police in 2019.
From September 2021, he served as a police driver in the response unit of the Sloviansk City Division of the Mariupol Interdistrict Department of the Police Protection Directorate in Donetsk region.
He was a loving son, brother, and husband.
Valentyn was laid to rest at the Alley of Glory in Sloviansk.
He is survived by his wife, parents, and sister.
