The life of Kateryna Samofalova was taken by a Russian shelling of the village of Rivne in Donetsk region. On January 6, 2024, the enemy attacked the settlement with rockets. Alongside her, her son, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren were killed.
Kateryna Samofalova was 59 years old. She lived in Rivne with her grandson Bohdanchyk, whose father had joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Earlier, she had also lived with the family of her son Oleksandr, but at the start of the full-scale war, they moved to Kyiv.
Recently, Kateryna had no job, but before that she worked at an agro-industrial company producing meat. In her free time, she devoted all her attention to her family.
On January 6, 2024, Kateryna and Bohdanchyk were visited by her son Oleksandr, his wife Dariia, and their children Ruslan and Yeva. They brought kutia and greeted everyone for the holidays. When the family gathered together, a rocket struck the house...
