24-year-old Andriy Pampukha died on March 13 in Mariupol from a Russian military airstrike.
That day, he and his mom left their shelter to go outside and cook some food over a fire. They were in the courtyard of the “bank building” — as the locals called the building where a bank used to be located on the first floor. Russia launched an airstrike on the area where he was. As a result of the explosion, Andriy Pampukha and his mother were killed instantly.
Andriy, 24, was a sailor. He went on voyages and lived by the sea.
Friends remember him as a kind and cheerful guy.
At 9:00 a.m., there is a nationwide minute of silence. The Donetsk Regional State Administration and the Memorial platform commemorate the residents of Donetsk region killed by Russia.
