Private First Class Ihor Tsyvkivskyi fell in battle on April 8, 2024, near the village of Andriivka in the Bakhmut district.
He sustained fatal injuries when the enemy attacked his position with drone-dropped grenades. The defender was only 31 years old.
Ihor was born in the settlement of Bylbasivka, Kramatorsk district. He studied at Sloviansk Boarding School No. 1. After completing secondary education, he began working as a construction worker.
He was mobilized in September 2023 and served as a grenadier in an assault unit of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar.”
“Ihor was a very good person. He always helped, never left anyone alone with their problems. Whenever possible, during leave, he would come visit us. The last time, he brought a big chocolate bar — it’s still lying here with me,” shared the defender’s sister-in-law, Yuliia Kovalova.
For his combat merits, Ihor Tsyvkivskyi was awarded the Minister of Defense of Ukraine’s decoration “Iron Cross.”
He was laid to rest at the Bylbasivka cemetery.
