The life of 67-year-old Hanna Monastyrova was taken by a Russian shelling in Donetsk Region. She was killed on her household plot in the settlement of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, having sustained fatal shrapnel wounds. The tragedy occurred on April 5, 2023.
Hanna Monastyrova was born in the village of Yabluchne, Velykopysarivka district, Sumy Region. She completed eight grades at the local school. After getting married, she moved to the city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Region, where she later graduated from an evening school.
She first worked at a pharmacy and later got a job at a non-ferrous metallurgy enterprise. She worked as a laboratory assistant and a crane operator. In 2001, at the age of 45, she retired. She loved working on her household plot, growing flowers and agricultural crops. In her free time, she read books, embroidered, and knitted with both crochet and knitting needles. Hanna Monastyrova was respected by her colleagues and friends.
“She was honest, hardworking, sociable, caring, kind-hearted, and positive. A wonderful person, a loving wife and mother,” her daughter Iryna said.
Hanna Monastyrova is survived by her daughter, son, and grandson.
