Senior Soldier Mykhailo Fishman was killed on May 8, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission on the Zaporizhzhia front. He was 33 years old.
Mykhailo was born in Sloviansk and studied at the private Nadiia School. After graduating, he moved to Israel, where he first studied and then served in the military. After a year and a half, he returned to Ukraine and enrolled at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, majoring in Cybersecurity and Information Protection. After completing his second year, he left university, returned to Sloviansk, and began working.
Following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, Mykhailo relocated to Ternopil and volunteered for the Territorial Defense Forces. He served as an electronic warfare operator with the 105th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. He carried out combat missions in the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. During one of the battles, he was wounded and was awarded a medal for his determination and bravery.
Mykhailo is survived by his brother and sister.
