Nationwide minute of silence

Senior Sergeant Oleksandr Kryvobok was killed on February 22, 2023, in the area of Volodymyrivka in the Bakhmut district. While attempting to destroy an enemy tank, he sustained fatal blast injuries. In a month, on March 29, he would have turned 24.

Oleksandr was born in Svitlodarsk. He studied at a technical college in Mariupol and later pursued a law degree at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. He worked as a guard at a women’s correctional facility in Mariupol. He loved life, his family, and friends, and enjoyed fishing.

In 2020, he signed a contract with the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and served in the 11th Kramatorsk Border Guard Detachment.

“We lived in perfect harmony, but the war separated us… He really wanted to defend his homeland and his family, and he dreamed of victory and a child,” his wife Hanna recalls.

The defender was laid to rest in Storozhynets, Chernivtsi region. He is survived by his wife.

At 9:00 a.m., a nationwide minute of silence is observed. The Donetsk Regional Military Administration and the Memorial platform honor the residents of Donetsk region killed by Russian forces.
