Soldier Serhiy Alirzaev died on January 3, 2024, during a combat mission near the village of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region. The defender was 35 years old.
Serhiy was born and lived in Sloviansk. He studied at Secondary School No. 19 and then at the private school “Alternativa.” He graduated from the Lyman Medical College. He was involved in the ceramics business.
In early January 2023, Serhiy joined the defense of Ukraine. He fought as part of the 87th Separate Airborne Battalion. He was the commander of a combat vehicle - the commander of an airborne assault unit (military unit A2582).
The defender was buried in the cemetery of the village of Mirne in the Sloviansk community, near his father's grave.
Serhii is survived by his mother, younger brother, and daughter.
At 9:00 a.m., there will be a nationwide minute of silence. The Donetsk Regional State Administration and the Memorial of Heroes platform will commemorate the fallen defenders from Donetsk Oblast.
