On June 26, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Shevchenko, another meeting of the Coordination Council on the affirmation of Ukrainian national and civic identity at the Donetsk Regional State Administration took place. The event symbolically occurred on the Day of the Crimean Tatar Flag — as a reminder of the strength, unity, and struggle of the peoples of Ukraine for freedom.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the results of the implementation of activities in the field of national-patriotic education of youth, support for civic activity, and the development of the information space.

In particular, they discussed the experience of holding sports competitions. In April of this year, the qualifying stage of the All-Ukrainian Spartakiad among pre-conscription youth took place. Eight teams from the region participated in the competitions. The team of the Donetsk Regional Sports College named after S. Bubka won first place in the region and represented Donetsk at the national stage, where they showed the best result in grenade throwing and took 9th place overall among 13 teams.

They also talked about information work. In wartime, it is important not only to refute fakes but also to create and promote one's own Ukrainian meanings and symbols. Within this area of work, materials are systematically published for state commemorative dates, holidays, and anniversaries, interviews with military personnel are conducted, and events are held in honor of fallen Heroes.

Particular attention was paid to the development of digital tools to support Ukrainian identity: the creation of virtual museums, interactive maps, digital platforms for education, and the formation of media literacy.

As a result of the meeting, a number of decisions were made regarding the popularization of patriotic education, the development of the information space, and support for initiatives aimed at preserving national unity.

Today, when the struggle in eastern Ukraine is not only for territories but also for consciousness, the issue of national identity takes on special significance. In unity, historical memory, and loyalty to national values — lies the strength of Ukrainian society, capable of resisting any challenges.
