The shift of the inter-station Plast novice camp “Land of Giants” has ended, with children from the Avdiivka urban territorial community taking part. For ten days, they rested, studied and spent their leisure time amidst the nature of the Carpathian region on the territory of the Plast Camp-Museum “Sokil” in the village of Hrynkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The camp program was aimed at developing team interaction, independence, responsibility and leadership qualities of children. Participants took part in Plast classes, active leisure, thematic games and educational events, and also had the opportunity to make new friends and get unforgettable impressions.

After the camp, the children were met by the Deputy Head of the Avdiivka City Military Administration, Serhiy Lehenkyi, and the Deputy Mayor for the Activities of Executive Bodies of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, Svyatoslav Nykorovych. During the meeting, they congratulated the participants on the completion of the shift and talked with them about their impressions of staying at the camp.

The Donetsk Regional State Administration and the Avdiivka City Military Administration joined in organizing the children's health and meaningful leisure. In the conditions of a full-scale war, such initiatives give the children of the Donetsk region the opportunity to safely spend their summer holidays, restore their emotional resources, and gain new experience and support.

An important element of organizing the trip was the cooperation of communities within the framework of the national project "Shoulder-to-Shoulder: United Communities". At the request of the Avdiivka City Military Administration, the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council provided a bus transfer for participants from the Ivano-Frankivsk railway station to the "Sokil" camp and back, which allowed organizing safe and comfortable transportation of children and accompanying persons.

The Avdiivka City Military Administration expressed its gratitude to the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, kindergarten teachers, and all partners who participated in organizing the camp. The joint work of communities is an important example of mutual support and care for children who need special attention today.
