You have done the most important thing for a child who has become part of your family - you have given him or her a whole world called "Family". It is not just a roof over your head, it is a daily hug, a sense of security, the quiet happiness of being needed and boundless love that heals any wounds. It is in your families that children learn to trust, be responsible, dream and just be children.
Supporting families, creating conditions for adoption, and developing family-based forms of education determine the future of Ukrainian children and the country. An effective system of local family support is the foundation for unlocking the potential of every child and, consequently, the future of the country. A child should grow up in a family and receive the necessary services where he or she lives, and not face a choice between an orphanage or lack of proper development.
Support parents when they need it. Find a new home for a child who has been left without family care. Create an environment where every child feels supported and protected. To be able to respond immediately, without delay, keeping the focus on the needs and best interests of children. All this is our task.
We are proud that there are many families in Donetsk Oblast who have opened their doors and hearts to children in need of love and support. Your decision to take in a child is an act of incredible courage and boundless love that changes lives forever. You are the true heroes of our time who give hope to those who need it most.
