For St. Nicholas Day, the Donetsk Regional State Administration organized a series of warm and joyful holiday events for children from Donetsk region who are temporarily living in different regions of Ukraine.
We wanted to give the children an atmosphere of wonder, support, and attention, which they so desperately need during this period of war and forced displacement. At all locations, the young participants were treated to entertainment programs, creative workshops, games, and sweet gifts.
St. Nicholas Residences opened in Kyiv and Dnipro, where the little ones from Donetsk immersed themselves in the world of Christmas stories, interactive activities, and New Year's creative corners.
The Kyiv location, the Artkazka Donetsk Region Residence, created by the Donetsk Youth Palace Yunist, was visited by the deputy head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Shevchenko. He congratulated the children on the start of the winter holidays and gave them sweet gifts.
The Donetsk Region Educational Hub hosted themed master classes, active games, and creative workshops, which helped children immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere, distract themselves from everyday difficulties, and experience the joy of joint creativity.
A colorful theatrical event called "Visiting St. Nicholas" took place in the Emerald City in the Khmelnytskyi region. Here, children had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a real fairy tale, filled with music, fun adventures, and sincere emotions.
During all the events, children congratulated Ukrainian defenders on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The children thanked the military for their courage and dedication, wishing them good health, a speedy victory, and peace in Ukraine.
May these festive days be a source of strength, faith, and hope for the children of Donetsk region! Together, we are creating a world for them where there is always room for miracles.
