February 10 – anniversary of the shelling of residential areas of Kramatorsk by Russian troops

Published 10 February 2026 year, 08:00

On February 10, 2015, Russian occupation forces fired heavy artillery at the airfield and densely populated areas of the city of Kramatorsk. This bloody terrorist act, committed by Russian mercenaries during the war in eastern Ukraine, claimed the lives of 17 people. Sixty-four people, including five children, were injured. The shelling damaged 41 buildings.

The terrorist attack was carried out around noon on February 10 from the outskirts of occupied Horlivka using two large-caliber multiple launch rocket systems. On that day, there were two series of explosions with an interval of 30 minutes.

In total, Russian militants fired more than 30 rockets from BM-30 Smerch multiple launch rocket systems at Kramatorsk, 18 of which hit the airfield area and 14 hit residential areas. Among the 17 people who died as a result of the enemy strike, nine were servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On February 10, 2015, the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions opened criminal proceedings under Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, "Terrorist Act."

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Kramatorsk has been subjected to enemy shelling almost daily: Russian occupation forces have caused extensive damage to the city and prematurely ended the lives of local residents. On the eve of the anniversary, February 8, 2026, Russia's terrorist army once again targeted one of the city's residential neighborhoods, which was at the epicenter of the shelling 11 years ago. As in 2015, residents of the region are dying and residential buildings are being destroyed. The enemy continues to wage war on civilians...

This day is a terrible reminder that as long as Russian aggression continues, there is no rear in Ukraine.

Eternal memory to all Ukrainians whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war.
