The head of Donetsk region took part in an online meeting chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, focused on the preparation and implementation by local authorities of a set of measures for the autumn–winter period of 2026–2027.
During the discussion, particular attention was paid to ensuring communities are supplied with alternative power sources, as well as to strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure facilities. For Donetsk region, which is constantly under enemy shelling, these areas are of strategic importance.
The Regional Military Administration, together with local communities, has already developed solutions that will make it possible to prepare as thoroughly as possible for the winter period and ensure the stable functioning of key life-support systems even amid wartime challenges.
A successful heating season is a matter of security and resilience for our communities.
