We invite you to take part in a webinar on modern approaches to the procurement of furniture, mattresses and wood products. During the event, we will look at how to correctly formulate technical, quality and environmental requirements for products, verify compliance documentation and avoid common mistakes in public procurement.
Why is this important?
Educational, healthcare and social welfare institutions, military units, municipal enterprises and other state bodies regularly procure soap, shampoo, toothpaste, hair and body care products, wet wipes and other personal hygiene items.
Personal hygiene products come into direct contact with a person’s skin, hair and mucous membranes on a daily basis, and therefore have a direct impact on users’ health.
At the same time, procurers often face questions such as: how to correctly formulate requirements for such products; what documents confirm their effectiveness and safety; and how to verify the claimed characteristics and avoid purchasing products that do not meet the established requirements.
During the webinar, we will look at:
Key aspects of procuring personal hygiene products and cosmetics
Legal requirements regarding product safety, composition and labelling
Which documents confirm the quality of products and their compliance with the established requirements
How to correctly formulate technical, quality and environmental requirements in tender documentation
How to distinguish verified environmental characteristics from unsubstantiated marketing claims
Common mistakes made during procurement and practical ways to avoid them
Under what conditions should non-price criteria be applied, and what are they?
This webinar will be useful for:
Procurement officers: from central and local government bodies, municipal enterprises and institutions that procure personal hygiene products and cosmetics for educational establishments, healthcare facilities, social care services, the hospitality sector and other public sector organisations.
Suppliers: manufacturers, importers and companies that supply personal hygiene products and cosmetics and plan to participate in public procurement.
Experts and consultants: specialists in the fields of public procurement, conformity assessment, standardisation, product safety and environmental requirements, who wish to enhance their knowledge of modern approaches to the procurement of personal hygiene products and cosmetics.
The webinar programme is designed based on practical requests from contracting authorities and suppliers. Participants will receive guidance on preparing tender documentation, confirming product conformity and avoiding the most common mistakes in procurement practice.
The event is organised by the All-Ukrainian Public Organisation ‘Living Planet’ with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the State Enterprise ‘Prozorro’ and the State Scientific Institution ‘Institute of Ecological Restoration and Development of Ukraine’.
The webinar topic complements a series of materials dedicated to safe, high-quality and environmentally friendly solutions in the field of public procurement.
We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the overview articles from previous webinars:
