Vladislav Shcherbinka, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition in the “Knowledge Leaders” category
Vladislav Shcherbinka is a coach for whom sports have become not just a profession, but a daily commitment to working with children and fostering their development. He was born on August 29, 1995. In 2021, he graduated from Berdiansk State Pedagogical University with a master’s degree in “Physical Education and Sports.”
He began working in the field of youth sports in 2019 as a soccer coach and instructor at the “Sport for All” Center for Public Physical Health. Since 2024, he has served as a methodologist and instructor at the Pokrovsk City Youth Sports School. Due to the war, Vladislav was forced to leave his homeland and now works in Uman, where he continues to coach children.
Today, 53 students in two age groups train under his guidance. In his work, he emphasizes not only physical training but also discipline, teamwork, and responsibility. Vladislav is also involved in Shakhtar Social’s international social project “Pace for Health,” which helps children from internally displaced families and the local community play soccer and socialize.
Among the project’s key achievements are the participation of 16 students in a soccer camp in Italy and the team’s third-place finish at the All-Ukrainian Soccer Tournament in 2026.
