In Astana, Rimma Bagnyuk and Volodymyr Drainy from Sloviansk, who are students of the regional youth sports school for people with disabilities, competed in the World Powerlifting Cup for athletes with visual impairments. Rimma won four gold medals in the +100 kg category among women and juniors, setting world records in squats (135 kg), bench press (70 kg), deadlift (150 kg), and total (355 kg). Volodymyr won in the 60 kg category with a result of 452 kg in the triathlon and 107 kg in the bench press.
In Plovdiv, at the European Para Rowing Championships, Roman Polyansky from Bakhmut won silver in the PR1M1 class, and Yaroslav Koyuda from Sloviansk, paired with Anna Aisanova from Volyn, won silver in the PR2Mix2x class.
