Representatives of the Department of Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration visited a medical facility in Kyiv where Ukrainian soldiers who have returned from Russian captivity are being treated.
The purpose of the visit was to express sincere support and gratitude to our heroes who paid a heavy price for Ukraine's freedom. Along with warm words, the educators also provided practical assistance: they inquired about the educational needs of the military, provided advice on restoring educational documents, and explained the state policy in the field of veterans' support.
The defenders were told about preferential conditions for admission to educational institutions and opportunities for professional retraining. Everyone heard that their rights and opportunities in education will be protected, and the state is ready to help at all stages.
Adapting former prisoners of war to civilian life is an extremely important task. For many of them, it is a new start: getting a profession, finding themselves in a peaceful environment. The task of the state, educators, and society is to do everything possible to ensure that our heroes have new opportunities, feel supported, and know that their feat will never be forgotten.
