This was announced by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration and head of the Oblast Military Administration.
A total of 28 farmers received the aid. This was made possible thanks to support from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, and Mercy Corps.
Farmers received one grain silo for every 100 hectares of crops. Each silo holds up to 200 metric tons of grain.
This assistance has been crucial given the current situation, in which virtually all grain storage facilities in the region have been destroyed or damaged.
“Receiving these silos will enable farmers to store grain directly on their farms and ensure its proper quality.
We continue to collaborate with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and international humanitarian organizations to support our farmers,” emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
