Due to the hostilities, the Donetsk region is one of the most heavily contaminated regions in Ukraine with explosive ordnance. Therefore, when conducting fieldwork, farmers should be vigilant and cautious to protect their lives and health.
📌 If an explosive or suspicious object (ESO) is found in a field or at a production facility, and/or if there are craters, you must:
🔹 immediately stop work;
🔹 leave the equipment and move at least 150 steps away from the location of the EOD or crater;
🔹 mark the location of the EOD or crater using branches, ropes, pieces of brightly colored fabric, etc.;
🔹 inform those around you about the discovery of the unexploded ordnance or crater;
🔹 immediately notify the State Emergency Service by calling 101 or 112, or the National Police by calling 102. The report should clearly describe the location of the unexploded ordnance or crater (name of the settlement, road or highway, industrial facility, landmarks, contact phone number).
Do not:
🔸 approach the unexploded ordnance or crater, touch or move the ordnance;
🔸 pour liquid on the ordnance, cover it with soil, or cover it with anything;
🔸 attempting to defuse unexploded ordnance on your own;
🔸 turning in unexploded ordnance as scrap metal.
