Olena Bila, an actress at the Donetsk Drama Theater, has been awarded the honorary title of “Honored Artist of Ukraine”
We sincerely congratulate Olena Bila—a drama actress and leading stage artist at the Donetsk Academic Regional Drama Theater (Mariupol)—on being awarded the honorary title of “Honored Artist of Ukraine.” This high state award attests to the recognition of her talent, professional mastery, and significant contribution to the development of national culture.
The decision was formalized by a decree of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the occasion of International Theater Day and is a testament to her many years of creative work and dedication to the arts.
Olena Bila’s creative journey is an example of strength of spirit and resilience. Having survived the tragedy of Mariupol, the theater troupe not only continued its work but also infused it with new meaning. Today, continuing to work in Uzhhorod, the theater actively promotes Ukrainian art both within Ukraine and abroad, affirming culture as a vital instrument of spiritual resistance.
This award is not only a significant personal achievement for Ms. Olena but also a recognition of the resilience of the entire theater community of Donetsk Oblast, which, even in the most difficult times, remains a voice of truth, dignity, and memory.
We wish you new creative achievements, inspiration, memorable roles, and an appreciative audience. We believe that Ukrainian theater will soon return to its homeland—under the peaceful skies of a free Donbas.
