As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” a joint online master class on pysanka egg painting was held for residents of the Sartana settlement community in Donetsk Oblast and the Rivne rural community in Volyn Oblast.
The creative process was led by Vasylina Zubchyk, a local artisan from Volyn. The “Ornaments of Destiny” master class was held at the village House of Culture in Zabuzhzhia, Rivne community, where the artisan shared the secrets of this ancient art.
During the event, participants not only mastered the basic techniques of wax painting but also delved into the history of Ukrainian ornamentation. Each pysanka created became a personal talisman, into which the creators embedded wishes for peace, prosperity, and resilience.
Community collaboration through the “Side by Side” project helps foster a sense of support and inspiration even in the most challenging times. After all, as long as we preserve our traditions—we are invincible!
