The state continues to support veterans and their families through the “eRobota” grant program. Today, support for veteran entrepreneurship has become even more flexible, with an expanded range of eligible recipients. Since the beginning of this year, in addition to veterans and their spouses, parents, adult children, and families of fallen defenders can also receive grants of up to UAH 1 million, provided they create new jobs.
What financial support can be received:
For combat veterans and/or persons with war-related disabilities (including those registered as sole proprietors):
1 job created — up to UAH 250,000
2 jobs — over UAH 250,000 and up to UAH 500,000
4 jobs — over UAH 500,000 and up to UAH 1 million
(requires at least 12 months of registration as a sole proprietor and 30% co-financing of the project cost)
For family members (including those registered as sole proprietors):
1 job created — up to UAH 250,000
2 jobs — over UAH 250,000 and up to UAH 500,000
4 jobs — over UAH 500,000 and up to UAH 1 million
(applies to family members of fallen, missing, or deceased defenders due to war-related injuries; requires at least 12 months of registration as a sole proprietor and 30% co-financing)
This is not simply “non-repayable funding,” but an investment in entrepreneurship that is effectively “returned” through the payment of taxes and fees by the business owner and their employees. In other words, repayment happens through growth and development.
