During January-August, specialists from the Eastern Office of the State Audit Service in Donetsk region conducted 129 state financial control measures, which resulted in the documentation of violations and shortcomings amounting to UAH 703.2 million. The department's employees were also involved as specialists in pre-trial investigations by law enforcement agencies and confirmed financial violations amounting to almost UAH 1 million.
Thanks to the work of state auditors, compensation was secured for violations that led to losses, and violations of procurement legislation totaling UAH 309.7 million were prevented and eliminated. As a result of the implementation of the recommendations provided by the auditors, losses of resources due to ineffective management actions or decisions in the amount of UAH 94.1 million were compensated and prevented, and an economic effect of UAH 4.2 million was achieved.
Six officials were brought to administrative responsibility for violations of financial discipline and public procurement legislation, and three were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
Based on the results of state financial control measures, 43 management decisions were made by heads of local authorities, enterprises, institutions, and organizations.
Based on the facts of violations and abuses documented by auditors, law enforcement agencies initiated two pre-trial investigations, and two cases were added to already open criminal proceedings.
